A small to medium sized building services consultancy in Kent is now looking for a mechanical design engineer at senior to join its design team due to an increase in their workloads.
The company:
- The consultancy has been in business for over 25 years.
- They currently employ circa 20-30 staff.
- Their key services include full building services MEP design (mechanical , electrical and public health), CAD design, sustainability and testing and commissioning.
- They help deliver complex building projects from concept stages through to completion across a range of sectors including healthcare, education, laboratories, commercial and residential.
The salary:
- The business is looking to offer a basic salary of between GBP45,000 and GBP55,000 for the senior mechanical engineer job vacancy. This will depend on qualifications and experience.
The senior mechanical design engineer job details:
- To work as part of a team and also independently, depending on the size of the project.
- Leading projects, attending kick-off meetings with clients and attending all progress/ design meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Full mechanical sizing and design of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
- Writing Specifications.
- Site surveys.
- Report writing.
- Producing tender documents.
- If required, attending project interview meetings.
- Attending design meetings.
- Delivering projects through all stages including concept and detailed design, installation and commissioning.
- Using design and calculation software such as Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Assisting with mentoring junior members of staff and checking qualify of design work.
