Legal Executive - Private Client
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Executive to join a very professional law firm based in Weston-Super-Mare.
You must have a sound understanding and experience in 'Private Client' work.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-
1. To manage competently all client work introduced direct or allocated by the Head of Department or other Partner and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in this firm's Office Manual and as promulgated by the Department.
2. To make the best use of the available resources and administrative support. To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously as possible and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
3. At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
4. To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm's and client's documentation and information.
5. To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording as agreed between the fee earner and the Partners.
6. In close liaison with the cashiers, to have overall responsibility for day to day cash management on own matters.
7. To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors
8. To maintain clear and precise communications between yourself and other personnel of the firm.
9. To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations in a professional manner.
10. To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff as appropriate.
11. To have direct responsibility towards self-development including compliance with continuing professional development requirements.
12. In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Institute of Legal Executives and to assist with in-house training as may be required.
13. In liaison with Head of Department and other Partners, to assist in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
