Counter Sales Assistant

Specialist Plumbing & Heating Division
Browns are a well-established building, plumbing and heating, bathroom and landscaping supplies business based Derby.

The company is seeking a Counter Sales Assistant to work at its main depot at Old Nottingham Road.

Role:
• full-time, 7:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
• 8am to midday on Saturday's, on rotation
• some travel assisting with deliveries

Responsibilities with include:
• serving customers, in the shop and by telephone
• dealing with customer queries
• stock duties:
- ordering
- assisting with deliveries in and out
- replenishment of items in the shop

Requirements:
• a minimum of 2 years' relevant trade counter experience
• other plumbing & heating or bathroom experience beneficial
• enthusiastic with drive to deliver excellent customer service
• good communication skills, written and spoken, with customers and colleagues
• good I.T. skills, including use of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
• good time management skills, use of initiative with ability to work under pressure
• to work as part of a small team
• own transport with full drivers licence
