Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Newport Area (Wales)
***Permanent Position***
Salary: GBP36,000 - GBP46,000 (Depending on Ability)
Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-billion pound company based in the Newport area of Wales. You will be working on exciting projects as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer reporting to the Lead Engineer. This role requires an all round approach to Mechanical Engineering taking safety, cost and manufacturing in to consideration. Responsibilities include: Producing Mechanical Design Solutions (Concepts, Packaging and Installation) Concept to Completion Design Process during the Project Life Cycle Preparation of Material for internal and external design reviews Communicate Design options to the Lead Engineer BOM Management at Platform LevelEssential Skills: Mechanical Engineering or Design (HNC / HND / Degree) Excellent Design Capability on Pro Engineer or Creo A Background using Windchill PDM Link BOM ManagementDesirable Skills: A background working in the Defence Sector A background working on Vehicle Design Knowledge of Design StandardsCommutable from anywhere in the South-East of Wales
