As a MFL Teaching Assistant your role will involve you working in the innovative MFL faculty, surrounded by excellent colleagues. Your responsibilities will include aiding your teacher / mentor through introducing creative and engaging methods to lesson planning and delivery within this progressive MFL Department. This leading secondary school, based in Coventry, is looking for a self motivated graduate to join their team in September 2017, where you will be training to gain a PGCE in secondary education through Premier Pathways.
The PGCE and training will be provided by the University of Buckingham. The 2-year training programme is split in to 6 terms resulting in the achievement of QTS. The first 2 terms will allow you to develop your interaction skills with pupils as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor role, where you will lead small groups of pupils. You will be working in differing situations to build up your portfolio of skills and expertise.
During the next terms your responsibility will increase as you become an unqualified Primary teacher, teaching up to a 0.5 timetable constantly improving your core skills in the classroom. In the final 3 terms you will teach a 0.8 timetable that will complete your development into an outstanding practitioner as you successfully achieve Qualified Teacher Status and a PGCE from the University of Buckingham.
