Field Sales Representative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Sales Representative to join one of Europe's longest established Fork Lift Truck dealerships. Covering the Cambridgeshire area you will be a professional, tenacious sales person with the desire and ability to identify and maximise opportunities presented to you. The role will involve dealing with a diverse range of clients from SME to major UK companies selling a wide selection of handling equipment and services. Specific duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships through coordinated sales activities including cold calling, appointment making, client meetings and sales presentations.
  • Establish client's short and long term requirements and follow up all sales leads to the full.
  • Acquire and maintain technical expertise and knowledge to understand client needs and capacities
  • Prepare and coordinate marketing campaigns and mailshots
  • Achieve individual sales targets and productivity
  • Attend regular meetings with sales management
  • Prepare sales reports and budgets in line with company policy
  • Attend conferences, seminars and trade shows and keep up with industry trends

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced sales professional, ideally with a background in capital equipment sales, such as agricultural machinery, materials handling, forklift truck sales, plant and machinery sales, commercial vehicles/HGV sales, motor vehicles or production machinery sales. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of achieving targets and developing long term client relationships. You will also need the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience of successful development of client relationships
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Experience of preparing and presenting presentations to clients
  • Well presented, articulate with a good telephone manner
  • Manage and prioritise own workload.
  • IT literate
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients at all levels
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload
  • A full driving licence

The successful candidate can expect an attractive salary, company car and bonuses. On target earnings are very good.
