Overview of the role:
As a result of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced Residential Services Policy Lead.
Reporting to the Director of Care Quality, this exciting new role will lead on the development of resources to support the excellence of polices for care providers of residential services. Providing them with innovative and cutting edge policies, tools and guidance to support them in delivering the best quality care possible to those who use their services.
Essential Criteria
* Extensive management experience in care setting
* Knowledge of CQC inspection framework and the Fundamental Standards
* Current and up to date knowledge of a variety of residential care services
* Experience of researching, developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures
* Strong academic background
* Evidence of being focussed on improving outcomes for people using services
* Experience of quality assurance processes
* IT literate
* Excellent communication skills
* Organised, resilient and able to effectively prioritise work
* Experience of building and maintaining positive relationships
* Positive approach to new challenges
Desirable Criteria
* Post Graduate level qualification
* Registered Home Manager with proven track record of quality and improvement
* Developing services to be good or outstanding
* Evidence of an analytical approach to problem solving
* Project management qualification or skills and experience
* Research experience
* Eye for detail and early stage problem resolution
* Evidence of identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
Basic job description:
We are looking for a suitably experienced individual to undertake the office based role of Residential Services Policy Lead to work with and support the Senior Management Team on the delivery of objectives. Primarily the role will be central to the development and reviewing of our policies, procedures & management guidance for our clients throughout the UK.
In addition to utilising your own skills & experience, you will assist in maintaining the relationship with, and managing the input of, our increasing number of external expert contributors.
You will be working closely with the Director of Care Quality on improving the quality and content of our management system. This will entail you leading on residential services policy development, identifying where new policies are needed and implementing changes to assist our clients in delivering the best quality care possible.
You will also be required to be proactive in your approach, and 'horizon scan' for legislative or best practice changes affecting health and social care and to oversee the implementation of any changes in a seamless way to reduce the impact for our clients.
