Based in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, our client is a further education college that offers a wide range of courses including Full-Time, Part-Time, Apprenticeships and University Level. They aim to give all students an exceptional experience.

They are now currently looking to recruit a Progress, Welfare & Careers Team Leader to join them to cover a period of maternity leave.
Our client requires a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead their careers service across the college. You will co-ordinate the service ensuring that students have the relevant advice from the start of their course through to the end of their College journey. You will work alongside curriculum teams to plan effective activities and events which raise student aspirations and ensure effective progression into employment, higher education or further training.
The successful candidate will have a proven record in providing guidance to young people and a sound knowledge of relevant quality standards relating to the FE sector. You will be qualified to Level 4 or above in careers guidance and have relevant knowledge of current qualification frameworks and the UCAS process. You will also have experience in Safeguarding young people and an ability to motivate students in making decisions for their future.
