Our client, part of an international company based in France, produces and supplies insects and mites used to protect crops in Europe and beyond. They are now looking for a Graduate Biologist to join their passionate R&D team based just half an hour from Colchester.
If you are a talented scientific graduate seeking to forge an exciting career in biology, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the leading crop protection companies in Europe.
Joining a forward-thinking and innovative environment, the successful candidate will find themselves immersed in a culture of dedication where the team really care about what they produce and seek to further excel within their field.
As a Graduate Biologist, you will be tasked with undertaking a range of development activities to push our client’s product portfolio and systems forward.
Specifically, you will develop production and delivery systems and product formulations for new beneficial insects and mites, novel formulations for existing products and innovative methods to improve current production processes.
Joining the core team within the R&D Department, you’ll take part in a wide variety of activities, managing project teams as required, carrying out studies and developing solutions.
Using a project based system, you will produce rearing systems for insects and mites, utilise internal production testing to implement new formulas and deliver innovations to improve production systems.
This is an exciting role that will see you working to create new and fresh innovations to drive forward our client’s product offering. If you are seeking variety and the chance to innovate and develop new exciting products and process; this is the role for you.
Interested? If so, you must have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in a scientific subject, preferably biology
- Experience of interpreting and analysing biological data, gained within your studies, a commercial environment or similar
Taking a skilful approach to planning, organising and monitoring work and progress, as a Graduate Biologist, you’ll need to be an exceptional innovator with the ability to form, document and articulate complex ideas and concepts. You’ll need professional communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, meet challenging objectives and work to guidelines.
Hands-on experience of working with mass rearing systems for insects and mites would be an advantage. Experience of working with beneficial insect and mite products in crops would also be beneficial. Experience of designing and planning trials work, recording, analysing and interpreting data would be equally favourable.
