Who are we?

Based in Warminster we are an established College which is ran by Childcare Practitioners assisting young people who experience emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. We deliver support to vulnerable children who often come from a background of family crisis and fragmented lives which unfortunately causes them to be unable to live at home or attend main stream school.

We provide residential care, support and education for our young people displaying difficult and harmful behaviours - youngest being 13 and eldest being 17. With a total of 6 homes we pride ourselves in achieving excellence throughout creating endless opportunities and changing lives.
All of our homes are within a 20 minute drive radius of our head office.

The Role (in a nutshell)

As a Residential Support Worker, you will facilitate the needs of the children within your care. You will be seen as a guardian to our young people assisting them in their everyday living from cooking their tea to taking them to school. Maintaining an excellent standard of care at all times, endorsing a positive routine for them to follow, ensuring our children are supervised effectively and their behaviour is monitored.

Every child's individual needs are to be met - and better yet, we reward for good behaviour! Which means rewards are given regularly enabling you to attend fantastic activities such as trampolining, spa days, cinema trips and mini holidays.

It is important you are able to build trust and provide sustainability for vulnerable children consistently encouraging self-development and safe guarding to a high standard. As a result of their background in the early stages of the role you will experience some exceptionally challenging behaviour as you integrate yourself into the routine of the children's lives.

What hours will I work? Great question. As a Support Worker you will work approximately 10 shifts a month on a 3 week rolling shift patterns which is ideal for your personal commitments and social life. Therefore, you'll know your working hours for the foreseeable future.

Your shift patterns will include sleep ins at a rate of GBP35 which gives an opportunity to earn just over GBP4k a year on the sleep-in allowance alone.
