Our client has an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join their Facilities team based in their stunning, open plan offices in Bedford.
Starting salary is GBP17,000 rising to GBP17,500 after successful probation period.
The Role
•Completing daily office checks and reporting defects where found
•Ensuring office health, safety and security is reviewed and adhered to
•Managing the organisations central archiving system
•Post organisation and distribution
•Office relocation and reconfiguration
•Liaising with external suppliers and contractors
•Low risk maintenance tasks
•Responding to facilities help desk requests
•Replenishment of office consumables
•Assisting with contracted works and office moves out of hours and at weekends
•Be a principle Key Holder for the Bedford office
Skills and Abilities
•IT literacy - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to work under pressure and to target dates
•GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
The successful candidate will be fully trained in all aspects of the role and will have the opportunity to study for a variety of Industry qualifications including an NVQ
