Mears have a fixed term 30 hour contract for a Specialist Recruiter to join our company. The Specialist Recruiter will report to the Regional Director and will be responsible for ensuring that the recruitment needs of the branches are identified and addressed. This role is a fixed term contract ending on 31.12.17

The Specialist Recruiters role will involve:

* Review use of advertising media and ensure appropriate advertising is placed in order to meet branch and regional recruitment targets.
* Arrange and attend job fairs and other local recruitment events
* Ensures that all Care Workers are aware of the Refer A Friend scheme
* Review tools used for assessment of candidates and feedback to HR & Area Manager
* Review application packs to ensure quality and compliance
* Implement a system that can monitor all applications, success of advertising media, and provide all data required by internal and external bodies.
* Monitoring the recruitment pipeline, ensuring that sufficient applications are being processed to meet recruitment targets and within branch budgetary constraints and that any shortfall is brought to the immediate attention.
* Monitors that all interviews for Care Workers are conducted, completing appropriate documentation as required.
* Collate documentation to support the pre-employment checks.
* Ensure that Care Worker Induction training course is booked and delegates notified as appropriate.
* Understand the local recruitment issues and work with the Branch Managers to compose recruitment plans to meet current and future growth.

The successful Specialist Recruiter will:

* Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English.
* Have previous recruitment experience.
* Have a full driving licence and be willing to have business cover added to their policy.
* Be self motivated.
* Be customer driven & sales focussed.
* Be positive, willing and enthusiastic.
* Have excellent communication skills, oral and written.
* Be familiar with managing own time and workload.
* Be able to develop a positive working relationship with others.
* Be flexible, adaptable and able to manage change in a complex and emerging environment.
* Be fully computer literate with a good working knowledge of word processing, databases, spreadsheets and ATS systems.
* Have good listening skills.
* Have knowledge of employment law and personnel practice.
* Have experience of implementation of recruitment initiatives.

Applicants must be able to travel to dedicated locations within the North Region to deliver recruitment activity.
