Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a wealth of experience working on Rolling Stock?
Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are working closely with a rail company in Doncaster to recruit for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support from a Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery perspective.
The Opportunity
This role provides a challenging, varied workload allowing the ideal candidate to demonstrate their technical capability in an Engineering setting. You will have the chance to work closely on some of the most high profile Rolling Stock overhaul and modification projects in the industry, helping to ensure successful project delivery.
Initial 3 month contract with the possibility to extend.
Location (s): The position is based on site in Doncaster
Role and Responsibilities:
* Produce technical specifications to define the performance of a product / component
* Produce risk assessments / method statements for offsite work
* Develop test documentation to validate component or installation
* Supporting production through Production Query process
* Produce technical reports to capture engineering issues / findings
* Use Solidedge to produce/ review Engineering drawings
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on Rolling stock projects. They will also have experience working to tight time scales and be able to work under their own initiative.
Essentials
* Experience within rolling stock and rail
* Knowledge of solid edge
* 5 years+ in a Mechanical Engineering role
