Cambridge University Press has a unique opportunity available for a Publishing Assistant to join the team. The role is a part time, permanent position offering a salary of £9,546 per annum plus benefits.

What are the responsibilities of the Publishing Assistant?

You will support the Education Content and Delivery teams in delivering an ambitious and expanding publishing program of print and digital products for the UK and international exams markets.

The post will involve liaising with internal departments, creating new vendor accounts, processing purchase orders and invoices, generating and circulating schedules and budget reports, maintenance of our freelance supplier database, issuing and archiving of legal agreements and due diligence paperwork, archiving and retrieving files from our asset management system, attending meetings and taking minutes if required. This position offers an excellent introduction to the publishing industry.

What do we look for in a Publishing Assistant?

The successful candidate will be Educated to A’ level or equivalent, highly organised and efficient, have a very good eye for detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates must also have excellent communication and IT skills and preferably knowledge of working with finance systems (SAP) and databases.

You will be expected to work 17.5 hours a week, ideally in the office everyday but this may be flexible.
