An exciting opportunity as arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our team based in Gloucester.

Within the role, you will hold the responsibility for daily cash & banking tasks which include reconciliations of bank accounts whilst pro-actively dealing with issues that arise. Processing and administering expenses plus ad-hoc payments alongside BACS and Chaps payments to meet deadlines. You will be responsible for reconciling control accounts, including the payroll and expenses control accounts. Candidates for this position will ensure purchase imports are posted accurately in a timely and efficient manner whilst catting out intercompany reconciliations and posting necessary journals. Assisting with journals for the monthly management accounts for the group support functions, you will provide holiday cover for Finance Assistants working on other Group companies.

With basic accounts knowledge, the Finance Assistant will be a competent user of IT including Word and Excel. Candidates for this position will ideally hold an AAT level 2 qualification or above with experience of SunSystems and Infor Q&A (Vision). An ability to handle a high volume of transactions, you will be able to work independently as well as part of a team within a confidential environment. The successful Finance Assistant will be a confident individual who will preferably possess experience with Central Finance Functions coupled a strong customer service focus.An excellent communicator you will have the ability to deal with complex situations with the aptitude to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Moreover, we are looking for a candidate who has the drive and passion to succeed.
