Cyber Security Engineer - Network Intrusion - Cisco FireSight - SourceFire, Cisco FMS, Snort
Outsource UKs Cyber Security Team is looking to hire a Network Intrusion Engineer with Cisco Firesight / SourceFire experience to join a large Defence organisation in Bristol.
Overview of the Network Intrusion Engineer
You will have an excellent knowledge of NIPS technologies and cyber security techniques to support and maintain security technologies within the deployment of a complex cyber implementation. You will support, maintain, troubleshoot and tune security devices, as part of a wider system implementation
Key skills required for the SourceFire Cyber Consultant
Proven commercial experience with Cisco FireSight Network Intrusion Detection systems aka Sourcefire
In-depth knowledge of Cisco FMS in large environments utilising Cisco 8000 series hardware sensors including virtual appliances
Experience of snort rule writing, rule and pre-processor tuning, performance testing and verification.
Security Clearance - ideally you will hold SC Clearance and be willing to undergo DV Clearance
Client facing experience and strong stakeholder management
The role is based in Bristol however you will be required to travel to other sites and occasionally abroad. This is commutable from Swindon, Gloucester, Bath, Taunton and Weston super Mare
