It is also a successful retailer in its own right with 3 Visitor Centres and 30+ shops around the country. It employs over 800 employees and has a turnover around £50m with a strategic agenda for continued international growth.

They now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join their HR team based in Denby and help continue to deliver a highly professional HR service throughout the Group. This is a Head Office based role, reporting to the Head of HR, and providing the full range of HR and ER support to Managers and employees. There may be some occasional UK travel.

The Role:

  • Provide 1st line generalist HR advice in line with best practice, legal requirements and internal HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage a small HR Team to ensure a highly efficient HR administration service for the UK Group.
  • Provide a full recruitment service within the Group, covering Job specs., advertising, interviewing and offer letters/contracts preparation.
  • Support Managers on a wide range of employment issues, including disciplinary, grievance and capability hearings as necessary.
  • Prepare, collate and record HR information, using the integrated HR system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of records and data.
  • Assist the creation, amendment and implementation of policies and procedures and contribute to the continuous development of the department and the Group in relation to good HR practice.

The Person:

  • Graduate calibre with full chartered CIPD membership by exam (or almost complete).
  • Previous HR generalist experience ideally within a fast paced manufacturing or multi-site environment.
  • Proven outstanding HR administration skills.
  • Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to confidently provide appropriate advice upon request.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
