Department Description

Performance Management is a global practice that focuses on the reporting required to operationally managing the end to end IT service. It manages SLA/OLA and performance management reporting requirements from operations and the wider IT organisation view on continual service improvement. The people who work in this organisation will have strong ties and relationships with our outsourced partners, Service Delivery Management and our resolver group community.

Job Summary

This is a key role within the Group Service Management and Operations function bringing to life with analytical information the service, you will need to define the global practices, standards and technology used to achieve this. We need someone passionate about delivering insights to work as an expert in analysis and visualization. This is a great opportunity for someone with some experience, but looking for that next step into something with autonomy and development on a massive scale.

This role has a global remit; however there will be limited international travel and monthly travel between key offices in the UK.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

This position will be fully accountable for the performance reporting practice including all MI, KPIs and metrics within UK and Europe. Responsibilities include guiding the selection and implementation of reporting tool capability, building suite of reports for Service and Operations and the wider IT community to manage performance, stakeholder management (CIO /Functional reporting), SIAM vendor management, reporting etc. The role holder will set the strategic direction for reporting within Group and will be the company expert on visualization tools.

Accountable for

* Driving the creation and implementation of best practices for statistical data modeling, analysis, and machine learning; data exploration and reporting tools; and processes that allow team to work efficiently
* Defining the overarching data analysis strategy and vision for digital products and connected service
* Representation at service forums for relevant vendors to ensure service and a quality measures are met
* Managing and enhancing a data driven approach to supporting, using metrics to measure and optimize support activities
* Assessing and updating the performance management framework, processes and tools so they remain relevant to our evolving business context
* Lead, nurture and grow a team of Data analysts
* Mentor/develop/motivate/appraise teams with on-going evaluation of direct reports and their staff for required skills and experience.
* Help determine what metrics are critical to the company, build tools and communicate key metrics to a wide range of stakeholders
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities as appropriate.

Experience & Education Requirements

Essential

* A passion for delivering insight from data
* Extensive experience within IT Service for an Insurance Broking firm Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point
* Advanced knowledge of visualization tools - whether this is Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview or more
* An understanding of databases (SQL would be a benefit)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work with all levels of organisations, with extensive experience working directly with Board level Executives
* Current with industry changes in hardware, software, support and security

Desirable

* Experience of development of reporting capabilities
* ITIL V3 Expert
