Your Role

You will be responsible for inputting data to help with the production of the monthly payroll on our payroll system for different companies. This will include setting up new employees and calculating any pro rata payments. You will also be responsible for the continual maintenance of employee records and updating payroll records by entering payments, deductions, job titles, address changes, bank details and department changes/ transfers. You will also prepare reports and summaries, perform checks and reconciliations as well as having regular liaison with the HR department.

The role will provide you with a great exposure to all aspects of the payroll function, where you will be able to develop firsthand experience and knowledge. Full training and support will be available, including opportunities to access webinars and seminars to increase your knowledge.

The role is full time working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Working 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Experience / Skills needed for the Role

Previous payroll experience would be helpful, but is not essential as we will provide you with full on the job training. However, you should be able to demonstrate a high level of data entry skills, attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness. You will need to be competent using excel and word, as well as being able to learn systems quickly. You must be an effective communicator and be able to concisely liaise with HR, having a high regard for sensitivity and confidentiality. We are looking for an individual that is conscientious, committed and willing to learn and develop their skills.

You will have proven ability to prioritise and work in an organised, methodical way whilst adopting a flexible approach to your work. You will have good numerical skills, with a Maths GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
