Housekeeper required to work as a member of the Housekeeping team and maintain the high standards demanded at this 14th Century coaching inn. You will be required to clean rooms, maintain all public areas, manage stocks of linen and cleaning materials and also to liaise with the management team to keep the building in good repair.

The role will include weekends, all training is provided, must be able to work on your own and as part of a team and must be flexible as the needs of the business are always changing. Very high standards are required for this role.

To demonstrate good product knowledge across the offering.

To double check standards have been met at all times.

To respond positively to all customer complaints managing them to a successful resolution or escalating them to management where appropriate.

To demonstrate efficient use of resources to reduce wastage and optimise profit.

To manage stock; products and materials to minimize loss

To positively participate in training in all aspects of the business as directed by management(e.g. customer service, health &safety, food hygiene etc.).

To commit to the rota planned for housekeeping, minimising disruption by avoiding last-minute changes.

To positively participate in team meetings.

To be a supportive team member demonstrating flexibility across shifts and functions.

To ensure that the opening and closing procedures are carried out correctly.

To always maintain the highest standards.

To be conversant and compliant with all standards and legal responsibilities in the maintenance of the building

To adhere to all Company food safety and health and safety policies.

To adhere to the pub’s standards of personal and general hygiene, including the dress code.
