Materials Handler

Position: Materials Handler (Fixed Term Contract – 6 Months)
Location: Salfords, Surrey
Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 (Dependent on Experience)

The Materials Handler Role:
The main purpose of this Materials Handler role is to carry out a stores and warehouse function, to support the Operations Department, ensuring that Health & Safety requirements are adhered to at all times.

Key Responsibilities of the Materials Handler:

• Drive counter balance fork lift truck
• Loading and unloading of various machines and equipment
• Picking and packing security products and machines for export
• Assist QC department in preparation of outgoing machines (ie) crating and hermetic sealing
• Conduct inventory checks as part of Company annual audit
• Booking in and out stock items on stores computer system using Navision software
• Maintaining the warehouse, stores and yard area to ensure that this is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Package and arrange return of goods to suppliers/customers
• Collect and deliver goods as requested using company vehicles
• Ad-hoc tasks when required

Skills & Experience Required:

• Counter balance fork lift truck licence
• BoM (Bill of materials)
• Revision control
• Candidates with a manufacturing background would be ideally suited to this role
