Salary and benefits: up to £35,000pa pro rata (depending on experience), PMI & 28 days holiday 

Hours: 30 hours per week (some flexibility over the working pattern)

We are a successful and growing innovative manufacturer of bespoke food ingredients based in Wincanton, Somerset. To help us with our strategic growth plans we are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to run our Finance Department.

What we're looking for:

+ Fully qualified CIMA Accountant or part-qualified Accountant who is about to qualify and who is able to operate at this level. 
+ Fully conversant with Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
+ The ability to work on own initiative
+ Pro- active approach to analysing Company data to identify efficiencies or potential business opportunities
+ Meticulous attention to detail
+ Advanced experience in Excel spreadsheets, charts and pivot tables
+ Experience of Pegasus Opera or similar accounting package
+ An excellent communicator with the ability to build trusting internal relationships
+ A strong team player
+ Team management and mentoring experience

Reporting to the Finance Director, accountabilities will include:

+ Responsibility for recording all financial records to the appropriate governing bodies
+ Preparation and completion of all monthly financial statements 
+ Stock Control
+ Credit Control
+ Pro -actively carrying out analysis of Company data such as margin variances to ensure that the Company is on track to achieve its expectations
+ Provision of operating data to Managers, working with them to analyse the data to facilitate operating and strategic decisions
+ Working with the Finance Director to develop and deliver the Company’s annual budget and forecasting

This role requires strong communication and relationship building skills. Whilst much of your work will be financial and desk based, there will be opportunities for the right person to spend time working across the factory, influencing the management team with your analysis of Company data.
