Job Title: Sales Engineer
Salary: GBP33000 pa
Location: Gloucestershire
The Role:
Working for a long-established high quality Precision Engineering Company pushing forward very positively, investing in people and new machinery with ambitious growth plans. Using cutting edge technology and advanced engineering techniques to provide outstanding services all from one location based in Gloucestershire, our client provides a single source of finished components for the aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear, medical, OEM and metrology industries.
Responsibilities:
For this full-time role, you will deal with customer enquiries appropriately and in a timely manner to help develop and expand the company in line with the business plan. This is to ensure the conversion of estimates into working orders is a smooth and efficient process by working with the planning department.
You will be responsible for:
Working from drawings, Models or Samples.
Producing estimates setting out the relevant operations required to cost the manufacture of components/fabrications using our Management software.
Liaising with customers to both win new business and secure existing contracts.
Working with the Sales Director to ensure high customer satisfaction levels are maintained.
Obtain quotations from suppliers for appropriate outwork services to include material purchases, surfaces treatments and relevant tooling etc.
Assisting with Procurement as and when required
Candidate requirements:
Requires broad Engineering experience and with understanding of operations and processes to produce precision made components.
You will be either an experienced in sales development, estimation, working within a CNC machining environment and have time served as a machinist.
This is largely but not exclusively an office based role.
You will be a confident individual, highly self-motivated and comfortable dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels.
A quick mind and the ability to make decisions are required.
Full UK Driving Licence required
