COMPANY OVERVIEW

Infinitum Group is a 2 year old television and communications investment group with an office based off Carnaby Street in Central London. The company was created in 2015 working closely with production companies, broadcasters, media agencies and advertisers; finding innovative ways to fund content through advertising.

The team consists of 6 Directors and one Manager. The business has grown at a successful rate and is now looking to recruit an Accounting Technician to provide assistance on the day to day running of its finances.

In addition to Infinitum Group there is a secondary separate business (Genus Assets). This is a property investment business wholly owned by the CEO and one other Director.

The post holder will work with and report to the CEO and Operations Director and will also work closely with other senior members of the Infinitum team.

Infinitum Group - Responsibilities

  • Reconciling Xero for Infinitum bank accounts (not holding accounts)/book-keeping
  • VAT Submissions
  • Management Accounts – Monthly P&L and Balance Sheets
  • Attaching copies to bills in Xero and record keeping
  • Management of office bills and other expenses but not turnover billing
  • Staff Expenses (checking and process control)
  • Tagging of individual expenses
  • Payroll duties and reconciliations with HMRC

Genus Assets - Responsibilities

  • Reconciling Xero for both UK and Spanish Bank Accounts
  • Preparing and liaising with accountants in Spain on quarterly Spanish VAT
  • Preparing and liaising with accountants in Spain on Spanish annual property submissions
  • Preparing and liaising with accountants in UK on UK end of year account submissions
  •  VAT UK Submissions 
  •  Reconciling in two Xero accounts (spain and Uk) all receipts and invoices
  • Sending out invoices for rentals


This Job Description describes the main duties of the post holder and is not exhaustive; other duties within the department/office may be required along with changes in the overall emphasis of duties from time to time if required. There is potentially scope to increase the hours of work to meet the demands and growth of the business.
 

HOURS OF WORK

It is anticipated this role will be part time and located at the Carnaby Street office but occasionally there may be a requirement to attend meetings at a location in Chiswick. There is flexibility in working hours however the minimum requirement at the start of the contract will be 16 hours per week.

NB: Should the business needs increase there would be a need to increase the hours of resource required for this role.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 4 AAT qualified (Association of Taxation Technicians)
  • Five years working experience of financial monitoring and final accounts
  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at a minimum of Grade C including Maths and English Language
  • IT Skills including working knowledge of financial management systems (preferably XERO), MS Excel, Word and email.
