The Skills Company is recruiting for 5 Apprentices to join a successful motor claims accident management company based in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester.
The roles currently available include a 4 x Technical Claims Handler Apprentice and a 1x Management Information Assistant Apprentice.
You don't need to have any previous experience of working in an office environment because full training and support is provided by the expert Apprenticeship Training provision at The Skills Company.
These are Apprenticeship job opportunities so you will also be working towards a recognised Apprenticeship qualification whilst working with full support and Training. This is a fantastic way to start a career within Business and you will learn many transferable skills.
The roles
Technical Claims Handler Apprentice
This is a Financial Services Apprenticeship - there are four roles available. Duties would include:
* Be able to handle and administer an First Notification of Loss claim in its entirety
* Be able to correctly advise on claim routes and identify revenue opportunities. Ensure all applicable services are offered and follow up work and tasks are completed in a timely manner
* Be able to effectively deal with a third party intervention and be able to mitigate losses
* Be able to review and verify data in order to ensure fraud is detected whenever present
* Be able to highlight indemnity concerns
* Be able to articulate fraud and indemnity concerns to seniors
* Be able to negotiate with third party representatives and be able to confidentially discuss liability
* Have a fair understanding of the Highway Code and case laws
* Be able to use and understand multiple systems
* Be able to set and amend claim reserves for various aspects of the claim in line with the reserving philosophy
* Ensure claim data and costs are accurately inputted
* Be able to review payment packs, highlight anomalies and confidentially negotiate costs
* Ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to including the protection of client and company data.
Management Information Assistant Apprentice
The MI Assistant's role is to provide administrative support to the MI/Process Analyst who will be providing the business with detailed analysis of management information and processes. There is one role available. Duties would include:
* To provide a range of reports on a regular basis and update company systems as and when required ensuring that all work is prioritised and dealt with accurately, appropriately and within the required time scale
* To use initiative and make suggestions that will contribute to overall operational effectiveness of the business
* To communicate to the MI/Process Analyst any issues that may have a detrimental effect on the quality of service provided, the company revenue/costs, reputation or customer and business partner satisfaction.
* Prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines and standards are met
* To undertake other such duties related to the work and appropriate to the post, as directed by Associate Director of Business Support
* To ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to including the protection of client data

A family owned and managed business set up in 1999 from its base in Cheadle, Cheshire. The Directors of the company between them have over 100 years of experience in insurance claims and motor vehicle management.
This facility was created to provide the best possible motor claims accident management service for insurers, brokers, hire companies and other partners.
They have developed a national reputation for excellence. Their bespoke claims management system is constantly upgraded to meet the changing requirements of the industry. A client focused approach has allowed the company to compete effectively with the largest companies and Companies House reports rate them amongst the industry's most successful and financially reliable performers.
Training
Apprenticeship training will be provided in the work place by The Skills Company. You will also receive regular on the job training and support from your Line Manager.
Apprenticeship training will include:
* Apprenticeship Diploma in an industry specific framework
* Functional Skills in maths and English if required
* Employment Rights and Responsibilities
Qualifications required
Although full training will be given you should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and have a grade C in English and Maths.
Learning Provider
The Skills Company is the largest training provider in Greater Manchester. They have worked with over 15,000 employers and supported over 75,000 learners to gain qualifications, Traineeships, Apprenticeships and Higher Education degrees.
Additional details:
Type: Full Time Apprenticeship opportunities are available with a minimum duration of 12 months and normally with the possibility of employment after this duration (subject to availability).
Job location: Office based in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester
Hours:37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday office hours. 8.30am - 5pm or 9am - 5.30pm depending on role
Salary:£5.60 per hour
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship.
