Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

Reporting into the Business Director of our client’s Commercial Interior Design and Refurbishment department you will be fulfilling a varied role.

Tasks to include:

• Preparation of contract documents, including scopes of works / detailed cost schedules.
• Undertaking costs analysis for office, light industrial, retail project work.
• Assisting in establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
• Performing risk and value management and cost control.
• Advising on procurement strategy.
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
• Negotiating with and allocating work to subcontractors.
• Providing advice on contractual issues.
• Writing detailed progress reports.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Understanding of the implications of health and safety regulations.

Essential Skills:

They are looking for an individual with the ability to work under pressure, is a strong team player, and able to communicate at all levels. A proven successful track record working in a similar role is preferred.

Based in Milton Keynes this role will encompass travel to various areas, therefore, a driving licence is required.
