Residential Night Support/Care Workers (Children’s & Young People’s homes)

Salary range: £15,773 - £17,584 + benefits (£8.09 – £9.02 per hour)

Holidays:  Year 1 is 33 days, rising to 38 including bank holidays after 5 years

What are we looking for?

We are recruiting for talented Residential Night Support/Care Workers for our Children’s homes, Young People’s homes and Short Breaks/Respite Services who want to make a real difference!  Experience in a care/support role is preferred but may not be essential.  Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent or Health & Social Care advantageous.  Our homes are 4 bed roomed with en-suite facilities here on site at Cheadle Hulme near Handforth.  So if you are passionate about providing care and support, have the right attitude and share our values, then we’d like to hear from you!

What are the roles?

These are full time permanent roles on a waking night duty to ensure the safety and individual needs of our children and young adults in our homes are met over the night period.  Duties include personal care needs, supporting residents if they wake in the night, communicating with residents and recording events/activities as required, as well as some general household duties.  Some challenging behaviours may present, so similar experience is advantageous but not essential.

What are the hours?

  • 9.45pm – 7.45am
  • Full flexibility over 7 nights is required
  • Full time positions, 37.5 hours per week
  • Typical shift patterns include working every other weekend, with 3 weeks of 4 nights followed by 1 week of 3 nights.
