Brand Manager

Who will I be working with?

The Cake Crew is the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of private label cupcakes, supplying a variety of bakery products into major supermarkets, independent retailers and wholesalers. The award winning business has been rapidly expanding due to customer demand and has a workforce in excess of 240 personnel. The Cake Crew continue to make significant investments into the development of employees and infrastructure to build upon the success, with recognition and reward high on the agenda.

So, what will the role of Brand Manager entail?

As the Brand Manager you’ll be responsible for championing the brand strategy and managing all aspects of the brand throughout the supply chain, to ensure alignment with company goals and ethos. Your responsibilities and duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Analysing the current brand message and strategy to highlight areas for improvement
  • Working closely with all parts of the company to create and manage a comprehensive brand strategy, to meet commercial goals, and sell the vision of the brand moving forward
  • Developing a brand message and effective marketing materials that align with the ethos and goals of the brand in order to increase sales, brand loyalty and improve market share
  • Realistically forecasting the volume of sales for the brand and ensuring all elements of the company are geared accordingly
  • Championing the brand internationally and making sure all parties within the company understand the brand and ensure the commercial goals of the brand are met
  • Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with the stakeholders and external agencies
  • Presenting the brand strategy at internal meetings and conferences to the Directors, Sales and Marketing teams
  • Ensuring the marketing budget is met whilst playing a key role in buying, sourcing and manufacturing the brands products, keeping all aspects of the supply chain aligned with the brand
  • Seeking new suitable marketing opportunities to maximise company growth

What will I need to be considered for this Brand Manager role?

  • Proven experience in a brand/marketing management role, ideally within a similar commercial industry
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Creative approach with experience of the full marketing mix
  • Significant social media experience
  • Strategic approach yet hands on with tasks to deliver projects
  • Ability to deliver and sell the vision of the brand to ensure commercial goals are being met
  • Self-motivated and passionate approach to marketing
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport

Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications would be advantageous, although not essential.

Salary:                          £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, level dependant on experience and qualifications

Additional Benefits:       25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Hours of Work:             Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Flexibility will be needed to meet business needs.

Location:                      Based in the Wilmslow office (Cheshire). Travel to the head office in Bala (North Wales) will be required at least once per week, and national travel will also be involved due to the nature of the role.
