Cheadle Hulme, near Handforth

Salary range: £16,206 - £17,584 + benefits + overtime

Holidays:  Year 1 is 33 days, rising to 38 including bank holidays after 5 years

What are we looking for?

We are recruiting for talented Residential Support / Care Workers to join the teams in our state of the art 4 bedroom Children’s and Young People’s homes on site at Cheadle Hulme near Handforth.  QCF / NVQ Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care or equivalent is preferred, as well as relevant care experience supporting people with complex learning disabilities and health requirements.

What are the roles?

Positons are available on days or nights.  These are full time permanent roles and will involve providing daily care and support for our children and young adults including personal care needs, mobility, daily routine support, communication, independent living skills, learning and leisure activities.  Some challenging behaviours may present, so similar experience is preferred but not essential.

What are the hours?

The roles operate on a rotating combination shift pattern as below:

  • Early shifts between 7.30am – 3.00pm
  • Late shifts between 3pm – 10.00pm
  • Split shifts: 7.30-9.30am & 3-10pm (5-6 split shifts per month, term time only)
  • For Nights positions, the hours are 9.45pm – 7.45am (waking nights)
  • Full flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours per week)
