We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join our team based in Gloucester.

Within the role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of the management accounts and other centrally prepared financial information for a number of branches within a social housing region. Ensuring the results are properly challenged with a view to maximising profitability, you will be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the management accounts, making certain the Regional Financial Controller is ware of the key issues, estimates and judgements. The successful Senior Management Accountant will have a shared responsibility for driving invoicing and cash collection coupled with job profitability.

Candidates for this position will play a leading role in maximising profitability within the branch portfolio, ensuring conversion of work in progress to debtors and to cash. You will be responsible for accurately preparing draft annual budgets and quarterly flexed budgets prior to submission to the Regional Financial Controller. The successful Senior Management Accountant will  also be responsible for providing ad hoc information to the Regional Financial Controller as projects and requirements occur.

With experience of dealing with high volume, low value transactions, you will be a qualified or part qualified accountant. The successful candidate will have experience of manipulating large volumes of data coupled with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate outputs. A proficient user of IT, you will be an advanced user of Excel and possess the ability to build relationships remotely with finance and non-finance colleagues. Moreover, we are looking for an inquisitive and tenacious individual who has the drive and passion to succeed.
