Our client is one of the largest privately owned suppliers of steel fabricated products in the UK.  Customers range from multi-national OEMs to small start-ups. 

The ISO 9001:2000 accredited factory has complete pre-production design and prototyping facilities meaning that they are able to take a basic idea or drawing and turn it into a product that can be fully manufactured and productionised.  They benefit from all the latest manufacturing techniques and equipment including CAD CAM systems, laser profiling, forming, CNC machining and both manual and robotic welding. 

In role of Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and strengthening the quality expertise throughout the NPI process and existing product.

Developing and continuously improving the quality management systems. With your desire to achieve targets and exceed standards, you will advise the manufacturing team on the best quality standards to follow for their core products, including preparation of PPAP documentation and ISIR/FAIR Reports for new and existing product ranges.

To ensure that the quality function is driven through all departments within the business, you will use your excellent communication skills to support the production and engineering team, and feedback to key customers.

The successful candidate should hold experience in a manufacturing or quality capacity with knowledge or understanding of core tools, such as, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D and PPAP.  With experience of ISO9001 within a manufacturing company, you will be trained in internal auditing and ideally hold experience with FARO Arm (although this is not essential).

Ideally the successful candidate will also hold practical skills such as measuring out, hand building and jig design/manufacture.
