Our client based in Shepton Mallet is looking for a Head Chef to run their busy and thriving restaurant.
The restaurant has a delicious seasonal menu, based around the finest local ingredients the South West has to offer. They use the spelt harvested at their organic farm as a basis for many of their dishes due to its health benefits, versatility and delicious taste!
Their menu changes regularly as they like to work with seasonal produce, using fresh vegetables, herbs and edible flowers from the kitchen garden.
This position is full-time and the successful applicant would be required to work 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days a week, covering weekend shifts and special events, when required and only infrequent evening shifts.
Benefits include 29 day's annual holiday entitlement (inclusive of bank holidays) and company pension scheme.
*Overseeing food ordering and budget
*Food preparation, cooking and presentation
*Delivery of operations
*Managing a small team
*Stock control
*Conforming at all times with health and hygiene regulations
*Creating seasonal menus and dishes to include organic spelt
Salary GBP25K subject to experience.
