HGV mechanic to carry out MOT preparation, preventative maintenance inspections on a fleet of mainly Scania vehicles, with testable trailers
Main duties and responsibilities
Maintain above national average MOT pass rate
Ensure paperwork is legible, completed and meets DVSA standards
Service, repair, MOT prep and PMI a fleet of heavy commercial vehicles and testable trailers
Retain a good understanding and knowledge of DVSA regulations, including HGV inspection
Fault finding
Weld and fabricate as required
Carry out repairs to the highest standard
Complete all specific Company and official paperwork
Order correct parts as required
Operate a clean as you go standard
Carry out other reasonable tasks which may arise from time to time
