Our client based in Shepton Mallet is looking for a Chef de Partie to join their team, assisting in their busy and thriving restaurant.
The restaurant has a delicious seasonal menu, based around the finest local ingredients the South West has to offer. They use the spelt harvested at their organic farm as a basis for many of their dishes due to its health benefits, versatility and delicious taste!
Their menu changes regularly as they like to work with seasonal produce, using fresh vegetables, herbs and edible flowers from the kitchen garden.
This position is full-time and the successful applicant would be required to work 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days a week, covering weekend shifts and special events, when required and only infrequent evening shifts.
Benefits include 20 days' annual holiday entitlement (Plus bank holidays) and company pension scheme.
*Preparing, cooking and presenting duties within section
*Training and managing commis chef
*Assisting the head chef in the development of new dishes and menus
*Following all health and safety procedures
*Being aware of profit margins and keeping waste to a minimum
Salary GBP16-18,000 per annum, subject to experience
