We are looking for a talented Graduate Structural and Civil Engineer to join our friendly office team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career and join a highly skilled practice of structural and civil engineers.  You will work closely with our Project Engineers to solve engineering problems, analyse structures and produce calculations sketches and drawings. Under supervision you will monitor and check works on site. We are looking for someone who will want to participate in teaching and research where opportunities arise. 

The role is highly varied and no two days are the same. You will thrive solving engineering problems and working on a range of projects. You will want to work in and support a culture in which employees take pride in their work, are focused on customer service, and are proactive in finding solutions to problems as they arise. Skills Required
Knowledge of Eurocodes essential. You will be highly literate in relevant IT packages including MS Office, structural analysis software and with a knowledge of AutoCad, Revit and document management systems. You will be studying or willing to study for Chartership with the IStructE or ICE..

Qualifications Required
You will be on target to achieve a good relevant engineering degree with ideally some placement experience or with one to two years practice experience and looking for a new challenge.

Self-motivated, proactive, bright and enthusiastic you will be able to learn quickly about the business and determined to learn new skills. You will be an effective a team player with the potential to manage others, but also confident enough to work on your own initiative and prioritise work. You will have good written and spoken communication skills and be able to demonstrate or committed to developing your design flair and potential to propose a range of solutions to clients. You will have an awareness and interest in environmental design.

Training

the successful applicant in developing their skills and in achieving Chartership status.

Salary and Benefits

We have a vibrant office environment in central Bath. We offer a competitive salary with the range for this post being £22,000 to £25,000 per annum. Our salaries are reviewed annually. In addition we have a Company pension scheme; Income Protection and life assurance; 20 days holiday rising one day per year of service to a maximum of 25 days, in addition to bank holidays an extra Directors’ day in the Xmas holidays.
