Financial Controller

Financial Controller. Our client is a highly successful manufacturing company with an excellent customer base. Due to the impending retirement of the present incumbent it is seeking to recruit a "hands-on" Financial Controller.

It is seeking a part-qualified, qualified or experienced accountant with a mature outlook, to control all day to day accounting and financial matters. Looking after just one member of staff, you will work closely with the Managing Director and the rest of the Senior Management Team. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting forecasting and costing, bank reconciliations, overseeing the ledgers(payroll is outsourced). In addition you will be responsible for all Tax returns for HMRC including PAYE, and VAT. You will be the key point of contact with the external Auditors with regard to audit and taxation. The company operates a fully integrated ERP system, together with the usual Microsoft applications. The company seeks someone who can demonstrate a solid financial background. Existing qualifications are less important than suitability and the desire to succeed. This role would suit a candidate who is seeking a long term career in a stable company environment. As well as Finance you will be expected to manage the general administration of the company.
