HR Assistant (12 month contract)
My client is seeking a HR Assistant to join our team in Bristol.
This 12 month contract is to support the HR team ensuring an effective and high standard HR service is continually delivered across the firm.
The post holder will work with closely with the HR Manager and Executive Partner, assisting with a wide variety day to day HR duties, advisory and project work.
This is an excellent opportunity for a HR assistant looking to gain valuable experience in a range of different areas with on hand assistance for advisory matters to help support your own personal development.
Key Responsibilities
General
*Responsible for all administrative activities associated with HR processes, ensuring confidentiality and legal compliance at all times.
*To ensure all information, records and reports are accurate and up to date.
*Setting up and maintaining HR records and files (both electronic and paper) ensuring they are kept up to date and archived when appropriate.
*To keep the HR system up to date with new starters/leavers/salary changes etc.
*Ensuring the firm absence procedure has been completed and the HR system updated.
*Producing and providing management information reports (eg sickness absence) from the HR system.
*Contribute and attend employee committees when required.
*Minute/note taking
Payroll
*To administer all relevant information and deliver to payroll on a monthly basis, including pay rises, maternity leave info, hours changes, new starts and leavers
*Identify any staff not eligible for firm sick pay and inform payroll
Recruitment
*Deal with the administration for recruitment including advertising positions, dealing with applicants, responses and seeing the process through from start to finish.
The successful candidate will have previous HR administration experience and a general understanding of data protection/employment law.
