An opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team based in Caerphilly. Within the role, you will undertake a variety of grounds maintenance tasks as directed by the Site Manager. Operating grass cutting machinery, you will be responsible for the maintenance of shrub beds and planted areas. Candidates for this position will be responsible for weed control and hedge cutting. Assisting with the maintenance of high profile gardens and autumn leaf clearance, you have the responsibility of maintaining and marking of sports facilities as necessary whilst adhering to Health and Safety policies.

With previous experience of working in an external environment, you will ideally have previous experience of the grounds maintenance industry and relevant training such as PA1/PA6. Candidates for this position will have the ability to understand and interpret work instructions, drawings and technical specifications. Preferably the successful Grounds Maintenance Operative will be a competent user of grounds maintenance machinery including mowing equipment, strimmers and hedge cutters. With the ability to identify, diagnose and rectify problems, you will be customer focused with ability to work well within a team.  Candidates for this position will be able to build and maintain excellent customer/ client relationships. Above all, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is able to succeed within our dynamic team.

This position is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week

Candidates for this role must hold a full driving licence
