This role is the perfect first step in to Spa Management for an ambitious individual who is able to demonstrate confidence in managing a team, and can multi-task with regards undertaking the relevant administration and reception duties.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Assistant Spa Manager will be responsible for ensuring that  Spa & Leisure guests receive the warmest Macdonald Hotels welcome and the best five star service throughout their Spa experience.

The successful candidate will assist in leading and motivating the team to deliver this high level of service and attention to detail through the delivery of Company core standards and on-job coaching.

Reporting to the Director of Golf, Spa & Leisure, the Assistant Spa Manager will be responsible for:

  • Achievement of business targets through Spa therapy and retail revenue capture
  • Maximising sales opportunities in-line with national and local marketing initiatives
  • Maximising profit opportunities through robust sales activities
  • Effective diary & rota management
  • Training and development of the team
  • Daily and weekly reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) 

Assistant Spa Manager Requirements

  • NVQ Beauty level 3 or equivalent
  • Proven experience in delivering treatments and retail sales, in-line with a leading skin care range, Elemis preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Hands-on style and approach with the team
  • Immaculate presentation standards in all that you do
  • Effective communication skills with guests and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong administration skills and ability to learn new systems & procedures
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Proactive approach to business and service challenges you may face
  • Genuine desire to take the business forward and be successful
  • Working knowledge of industry KPIs reporting and business profit and loss

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.  As this is a seven day per week operation, a degree of flexibility is required to cover weekends, bank holidays and some evenings.
