Accounts Assistant

Robert Half are currently recruiting on behalf of a market leading customer service business based in the heart of Central Bath, who are looking for an accomplished Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 6 - 8 week contract. This position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work in an interesting and rewarding environment, and will give you the chance to add significant value to your CV.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:

- Raising sales ledger invoices, debt chasing, maintaining the sales ledger and dealing with queries
- Cash handling including petty cash
- Processing of all accounting information and data entry
- Purchase order placement, invoice payment, maintaining the purchase ledger and dealing with queries
- Processing credit card transactions
- Recording and banking of cash and cheques
- Dealing with queries, downloading payment data at staff request and for posting to the Cash Book
- Administering finances, updating organisers on the fund balances
- Producing and reconciling spreadsheets with the balances on the financial management system
- Posting to the Cash Book including petty cash journals
- Reconciling the bank accounts monthly

Person Specification:

- Excellent IT Skills especially in the areas of databases and spreadsheets, and comfortable with the use of IT as an integral and essential tool
- Ability to prioritise own workload and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
