Test Analyst
Overall Purpose of the role:
To plan, develop and execute software testing during our development cycles; web applications, web services, integration with 3rd party systems.
This will involve regression testing, functional testing and automated testing.
To work on new projects and BAU change on our .NET applications.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and execute software testing as part of our development cycles
Test our applications, web services, and integration with 3rd party systems
Work directly with developers to fix any defects found
Produce and maintain test documentation
Develop and maintain automated tests as part of the automated release process
Keeping abreast of new technologies and techniques
The core technologies used are: Visual Studio 2015, TFS 2013 ASP.NET 4.5 (C#) Webforms & MVC SQL Server 2014 Query, HTML, CSS
Qualifications and skills:
At least 3 years' commercial experience in a QA / tester role, ideally in an Agile Scrum environment
Experience of automated testing tools, and creating test plans
Advanced knowledge of a range of web browsers and operating systems
Experience in the financial services industry (though this is not essential)
Understanding of HTML, CSS, HTTPS and cookies Working knowledge of SQL Server and querying databases
