Materials Test Technician

An established and growing Building Materials company is looking to increase its capabilities and processes by adding a Quality Control Technician to the successful team. The right person for this role will report directly to the Technical Production Manager.

Responsibilities

- Routine sampling, field testing and specimen preparation of concrete, asphalt and aggregates .
- Investigate quality issues at relevant sites and depots under their control.
- Maximising the contributions of the technical departments towards ensuring cost effectve product manufacture with the right balance of supplier/customer risk.
- Establishing and maintaining product quality levels consistent with commercial/operational drivers and customer requirements.
- Administering high quaity, multi product technical support to trading, Concrete, operations, contracting and external customers.

Essential

- Driving licences
- 6 months Technical experience ( practical application of routine sampling and testing procedures - NVQ Level 2)
- Computer Literate
- 5 GCSE`S A-C ( Maths & English)

Desirable

- Knowledge of Cement/ Asphalt/Aggregates
- Cross-functional Understanding
