What will the role involve?
In this role you will support clients to gain qualifications and progress towards employment through the timely and accurate delivery of qualifications and qualification frameworks. You will deliver this through training and assessment that meets company quality procedures and awarding body requirements. Your delivery will be both on-line and classroom based in English and Maths.
Some of the main accountabilities will include:
Support learners to identify their learning needs and select appropriate on-line support materials to meet these needs.
Produce and review an effective learning plan in conjunction with each learner and their individual support needs.
Support the appropriate delivery of information, advice, and guidance, to ensure the customer achieves their overall end goal(s).
Delivery of sessions to up-skill and provide knowledge essential to the qualification and organisation.
Monitor learner progress by proactively checking access to learning and asking questions to ensure learning continues and learners achieve in a timely manner.
Hold and maintain a caseload of learners working from various locations, ensuring the timely completion of qualifications.
Actively seek feedback from learners on learning support materials in order to review and improve the service and learning experience.
Actively engage with learners and use a variety of support mechanisms, including internal and external stakeholders, systems and techniques to engage and retain learners.
Ensure that the required systems and processes are followed and are in line with contractual deadlines to ensure that learndirect meets quality, audit and accreditation requirements e.g. participate in observations of training and learning, operational updates and CPD activities as appropriate to the role.
Contribute to learndirect staff forums to seek and design improvements to the service.
Provide feedback to learners during reviews on progress and determine readiness for tests and achievement of learning outcomes and action accordingly.
To deliver a high standard of customer satisfaction at all times, in line with quality targets and customer feedback.
Provide appropriate pastoral support to learners and identify whether the learner is in need of Additional Learning Support
Work towards agreed Awarding Organisation requirements for delivery and assessment.
Deliver outcomes in line with current KPI's and business performance targets.
Adhere to scheduling through Work Force Management to ensure compliance and continuity of business delivery.
Safeguard and promote safeguarding with all of our Customers
Fully comply with all aspects of the Prevent Duty and promote British values in all that we do.
What skills, experience, and qualifications are we looking for?
You must have recent and relevant teaching / training experience
A minimum Level 3 Qualification in supporting Maths and English
A formal teaching qualification such as a PTTLS is required
You should have Maths and English qualifications at level 2 or above
Excellent IT skills and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure be flexible
The ability to achieve targets and hold a caseload
The ability to work in a peripatetic environment, delivering quality programmes of work in different locations
Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
Experience delivering employability and IAG
A1 Assessor or similar would be useful
A Level 3 qualification in Safeguarding young and Vulnerable Adults would also be useful.
