Market Analyst

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Market Analyst to join our business on a full time basis, based in London.  In return we offer a competitive salary of £27,000 - £35,000 per annum + benefits.

As our Market Analyst you will have the fantastic opportunity to become the single point of reference for strategic intelligence on our key markets and our competitive environments across the Conviviality group, and use this strategic intelligence to support critical projects at group level and within all business units.

Conviviality Plc operates the UK’s largest franchised off-licence and convenience chain and the UK’s largest independent alcohol wholesaler and distributor to the on-trade drinks sector. As Conviviality grows, so too does our appetite to do more. We are always looking for the next big opportunity, both within and beyond the Conviviality group.

As our Market Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:                                                                                

- Support the Head of Strategy in identifying what market and competitor reporting is required in each of our key markets to support the business’ needs

- Own the regular market intelligence feed into the CEO’s PLC board report

- Create, own and maintain the Competitive Intelligence Database

- Own and maintain the Market Size & Share Model

- Create the calendar for updating and disseminating the information contained in the above, and identify the right stakeholders to receive and act on this information

- Analyse our competitors to better understand their strategies and their economics

- Monitor our markets and competitors, and ensure timely communication of key updates to senior stakeholders

- Support assigned strategy projects, either individually or within a small team, as directed by the Strategy Manager

 Our ideal Market Analyst will have the following skills and experience;

- Familiarity with company accounts (down to EBITDA), whether through formal finance qualifications or otherwise

- Experience in complex data analysis and financial modelling

- Proven ability to interpret company accounts

- Experience in writing presentations and presenting findings in a clear and professional way

Personally you will be able to demonstrate your ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced, growing organisation, and pride yourself in your perseverance, creativity and cynicism. You will be bright, self-starting and willing to lean; have a high level of numeracy, either through academic qualifications or professional experience and have a good level of analytical and financial modelling capability

In return, our Market Analyst will receive a competitive salary of £27,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience, with an opportunity to earn up to 10% of your salary in bonus, access to our award winning share incentive scheme and health care cash back plan.
