Nigel Wright are delighted to be working in partnership with Northgate plc based in Darlington who are seeking to appoint a Group Financial Accountant.
Northgate, a fully listed plc with sales exceeding GBP600m and pre-tax profits of GBP80m, is a leading light commercial vehicle rental business in the UK, Spain and Ireland. Founded and headquartered in Darlington, Co Durham, Northgate has grown both organically and by acquisition since it's establishment in 1981.
Reporting in to the Group Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified ACA to make their first move into the commercial sector.
Your remit will include the development of the Group's financial reporting and annual plan process. Key areas of focus will be PLC filing requirements, technical accounting compliance, the annual plan process, investor relations and tax related activities.
You will be offered the opportunity to extend your portfolio of experience in treasury, tax, etc and will have first hand access to the Board, FD and CFO.
You will be:
- A qualified ACA with experience of working with/auditing PLC clients
- Clear and confident in your communication style with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Looking for an opportunity to progress your career within a leading plc business
