Key Tasks/Responsibilities of the Senior HR Advisor

* Carryout project work to deliver the people agenda for the development of a new factory.
* Work with the Training Manager to ensure the L&D plan is delivered in full.
* Undertake projects that support the annual plant objectives.
* Support the HR Manager in the management and delivery of the Resource Plan and Organisation Structure development.
* Plan and support all recruitment needs from job design through selection to on boarding and induction.
* Be the first point of contact for designated departments and handle all queries within the scope of the role.
* Lead employee forum meetings and undertake actions that arise from these meetings.
* Handle employee relations issues related to Recruitment, flexible working requests and family friendly policies.
* Deputise for HR Manager when required.
* Deliver training to managers in HR policies to build competence.
* Develop and improve HR systems to meet the business needs.
* Take a leading role in change management including collective consultation where required.
* Deliver Excellent and regular communications to the Business.
* Any other ad hoc tasks as requested that underpin the Company's vision and values whilst considering the credibility and reputation of the HR department.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience necessary of the Senior HR Advisor

* Previous HR experience within a busy manufacturing environment preferrable.
* Excellent knowledge of HR policies & procedures.
* Computer literate, word, excel (essential) and HR Database Systems such as SAP (desirable).
* Experience in interview skills & selection process in general.
* Experience in absence control procedures & managing absence in general.
* Qualified to CIPD level 5 (or working towards) or degree level in HRM.

* Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively.
* Have strong attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and able to show initiative, offering ideas and improvements.
* To be analytical and have the ability to interpret data and complete reports.
* A strong communicator, with the ability to build relationships with all levels of people within the organisation.
* Confident approach with good presentation skills.

Hours/Shifts of the Senior HR Advisor

* 39 Hours, 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursdays and 8am - 1pm Fridays. Based in Cannock
