Our client designs and manufactures precision forged and machined components in their fully integrated facility in the heart of the UK. Reporting to their Lead Conformance Engineer, you will be tasked with both supporting current production and providing improvements, primarily within their machining division, as well as implementing NPI work.

With a hands on approach, you will develop machining methods and practices with stage drawings to support and generate CAM programmes and inspection techniques to verify. Designing jigs and fixtures to support robust processes, you will utilise IPI Visual Fair software to conduct first article evaluations and reporting also providing invaluable support in verifying customer bids and checking theoretical models.

They are looking for an individual who has excellent problem solving skills and who has a good understanding of lean / sigma type techniques in order to support the continues improvements required. Supporting Operations in Production “Stop; Call; Wait; Process”.  You will need to hold a HNC in an engineering discipline and have CAD / CAM experience gained within a manufacturing environment.

With competence of systemic link to IPI Visual Fair, you will have experience with various metals, machining configurations and multi axis work and have a proven track record as a project leader of change within a results based portfolio.
