An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join Morrisons Solicitors based in Woking.

The Firm has achieved both the Lexcel and Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditations issued by the Law Society.
As a Paralegal, you will undertake fee earning work supervised by the Fee Earners and meet the billing targets associated with this. The role will involve supporting the busy Residential Conveyancing team in carrying out administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner.
As a Paralegal, your key duties and responsibilities will be:
To undertake a range of duties that will include:
- Opening and closing files
- Assisting with exchanging of contracts
- Assisting with completions and post completion work
- Liaising with clients in person by the telephone and in writing
- Preparing and drafting legal documentation
- Conducting searches
- Preparing completion statements and bills
- Preparing SDLT Forms and Land Registry Applications
To provide an efficient and friendly service to clients. To achieve this you will be expected to:
- Adopt a business like, polite and sensible approach in your telephone and written dealings with clients, other solicitors and third parties
- Adhere to the client care standards set out in the firm's terms of business and Standards Manuals
- write letters and produce documents in so far as possible in plain English and with a high quality of presentation
Person Specification
- Degree or ILEX qualification or proven relevant experience.
- At least 1 year’s recent experience of Paralegal work working within the relevant area.

- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work within time constraints.
- Ability to work as a pro-active team member.
- Clear, concise and logical verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to use own initiative.

- Good planning, organising and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise well and work under a tight time schedule.
- Excellent user of email/word/excel, experience of using the internet for legal research.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Must have good numerical skills
- Good knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
- The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy.
- The ability to perform legal research.
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm.
In return for this you will receive a salary of £25,000 per annum.
