We currently have opportunities to work within the security industry for a premier event security company. Vacancies are available for both Security Industry Authority (SIA) accredited operatives and Non SIA accredited stewards. Competitive rates of pay.
Experience is not essential as training will be provided to the successful applicants.
SIA Roles and Responsibilities:
- To ensure the health, safety and welfare of all persons attending an event to which you are assigned.
- Your basic duties will be screening a person’s suitability to enter the event or venue, showing people to seats, advising on ground/event regulations, providing assistance as required, tearing tickets, checking wristbands, ejecting troublesome persons or those not complying with health & safety or other regulations or reasonable requests.
- Providing a security presence to prevent and detect crime within a designated area
- Guarding a property and/or equipment onsite during the setup and breaking down of, for example, an event or exhibition.
- Patrolling the perimeter of an event to prevent unauthorised entry gained by individuals
Non SIA Roles and Responsiblities
- To ensure the health, safety and welfare of all persons attending an event to which you are assigned.
- To be familiar with the layout of the site/venue and the available facilities
- Carry out pre-event checks
- To ensure an even flow of people entering the venue/event
- To monitor crowds for signs of overcrowding
Candidates MUST:
- Be smart and professional at all times
- Have good written English and communication skills.
- Must be able to pass Screening and Vetting process in line with BS7858 Including five-year employment history or to be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, education or self-employment during that period.
