Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Customer Service Advisor to join our team in Plymouth, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Customer Service Advisor key responsibilities:
  • Dealing with all potential customer enquiries and for them to appropriate sales staff.
  • Telephone assistance to customers and other contacts, recording and passing messages as required.
  • Maintaining a detailed record of all liaison, complaints, and enquiries with customers.
  • Logging all complaints and queries and follow them up.
  • Ensuring the best possible service is provided to existing customers within agreed guidelines of customer requirements.
  • Growing existing sales opportunities though up-sale opportunities.
  • Giving pricing over the telephone to cash and small account customers, to agreed values and complete necessary contractual paperwork.
  • Providing quotations to potential customers and subsequently follow up all quotations.
  • Setting up and send out all new customer information (Service Agreements).
  • Maintaining a full customer database, e.g. contract dates, prices, and contact details.
  • Ensuring all information is provided to a satisfactory standard to both internal and external sources.
  • Generating monthly and ad-hoc reports to enable the effective management of materials procurement.
  • General filing and typing of letters
  • Supporting the sales team with all administration and ensure that the correct details are entered onto the system to ensure accurate invoicing and accounts.
  • Maintaining adequate records to enable invoicing and forecasting returns to be made.
The ideal Customer Service Advisor:
  • Knowledge of customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of computer software application.
  • Good written, oral/telephone and numerate skills.
  • Good commercial skills and negotiator.
  • Ability to build long lasting relationships with customers via telephone and at whatever level necessary.
  • Ability to produce basic reports and management data as required.
  • Good track record of customer services or related activities within a multi-site, high-speed environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar Administration role or environment
  • Computer literate, with intermediate spreadsheet skills.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Good level of education
In return for your hard work as a Customer Service Advisor, you can expect to receive a salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum with a range of benefits
